Our Concept
From imagination to exploration: passionately inspired, exquisitely crafted, and unforgettable in every way.
A client once asked me to plan a trip through Normandy: the beaches, the cemeteries, the museums. What she wanted, once we talked, was something else entirely. She wanted to stand on the sand where her father had landed and finally understand the trauma that had followed him home.
The itinerary still included Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery and the coastal towns. But nothing was there simply because it was on a list. Every stop had a reason. Every detail was chosen to bring her closer to the experience she was really looking for: to stand where her father stood and see that day through his eyes, as much as that is possible nearly eighty years later.
That’s the part most people skip: figuring out what a trip needs to mean to you, not simply where it needs to take you.
Once I understand that, the real work begins. I look at the map differently. I question the obvious route. I find the places worth going out of the way for, the hotel that changes the feel of a stay, the guide who brings a subject to life, the restaurant that tells you something about where you are. I think about timing, rhythm, transitions and all the small details that make an itinerary work beautifully once you’re actually living it.
There is no template. There is no standard version with your name dropped into it. The destination may be the same, but the thinking behind the trip should be entirely your own.
“Originality isn’t the goal. Understanding you is.”
